“WikiTrento-Walk in Trento”, a project by the Mercurio Cooperative also supported with the contribution of the Municipality of Trento, Wikimedia Italia and the Trento Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with Italia Nostra trentino, with the Tridentino Diocesan Museum, with the Argentario Ecomuseum and with the Municipal Library of Trento, it intends to create a path to discover the historical-artistic-cultural heritage, and not only, of the city of Trento.
Four editathons with Wikipedians, experts and young people will contribute to the construction and improvement of Wikipedia entries and will be the basis for the creation of six creative tracks that will return as many paths of discovery of the city in the form of Podcasts, usable on the main platforms in digital mode in languages Italian, English and German.
Collective intelligence, the network with experts and creativity are the engines of a project that will lead to discovering Trento in an unprecedented way.
“From the centre of a square: Dante (Alighieri), Cesare (Battisti) and the ‘militant’ monuments” tells the genesis and the meaning of two of the most famous monuments in Trento. A statue and a mausoleum celebrating two figures of Italian culture and history and, as in a dialogue, they symbolically summarise the spirit of the age in which they were built.
“Trento, a painted city – Street art from the Italian Renaissance”, a tour ready to be listened to discover a unique and priceless historical and artistic heritage. A true immersion in past centuries, retracing the history and iconography of the most significant facades decorating houses and palaces of Trento.
